Lila is a sweet 3–4-year-old pug with a heart full of love. She tends to bond deeply with her people and has a special soft spot for children, though once she settles in, she'll happily become anyone's little shadow. At 26 pounds, she's a whole lot of pug to love! She adores wrestling, handing out endless kisses, and curling up as close to you as possible. Her favorite place is your lap, and at bedtime she'll happily claim the pillow next to yours so she can sleep close.
Lila is currently on a weight-loss journey with a healthy diet and more exercise, and she's already making great progress toward getting back to her ideal pug shape.
She's fostered with dogs of all sizes and gets along wonderfully with everyone. She's also cat-friendly and mostly indifferent to feline roommates. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly and soon starts asking for pets and scratches. She's learned to use the dog door and has been doing great with her potty training, with no accidents in foster care.
Lila came to rescue alongside another dog after their family decided they no longer wanted dogs. Now she's looking for a forever home where she'll be cherished, spoiled with affection, and supported as she continues her healthy lifestyle.
